Annuals

Before bedding out your annuals, it is a good idea to improve the soil with nutrient-enriched moss peat.

Spread a layer of Pindstrup Plus approx. 3 cm thick over the bed and dig the area over, loosening the soil and mixing it with the nutrient-enriched moss peat. This produces crumbly soil with a good nutrient content, which will guarantee the best start for annuals.

The kitchen garden

Maintain the soil in your kitchen garden by spreading 100 litres of Pindstrup Plus per 10 m .

If you have garden compost, you can mix one part compost to one part Pindstrup Fine Moss Peat and use approx. 10 litres of the mixture per m².

This provides a good supply of organic matter, which may be supplemented with a nitrogen-rich fertilizer before the start of the growing season

Lime content of the soil

Maintaining the lime content of the soil is necessary to avoid acid soil. If you apply lime in the autumn, it will have the winter to dissolve and act on the soil.
