Production control

To meet the quality demands a comprehensive product control is in place.
|
|
Samples of the raw materials are taken to check degree of humification (blonde/dark peat) and test for any contamination by weed seeds.
|
|
At the factory dry matter and water content are measured. The particle distribution of the screened peat is controlled by laboratory sieves.
|
|
During production samples are taken for measuring weight per cubic metre and out-turn according to European standard. For bulk deliveries the container is weighed before and after loading and the net weight is controlled. Out-turn and density of bags are controlled and every bag is weighed automatically to assure the right weight and volume
|
For every 45 m3, 6 weight and out-turn samples are taken.
Just after production two samples are immediately analysed for pH and EC.
These samples must be analysed and approved before the product can leave the factory.
For extra control a sample is analysed by an external laboratory for pH, EC, Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium.
Additionally a sample is put in store for later control, if necessary. |
